SCMS Tutoring Information

SCMS is excited to offer free before and after-school tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting November 13, 2025.

AM tutoring sessions will run from 8:00am to 9:00am. Students should meet teachers at the walker gate by Building 5 between 7:45am and 8am as tutoring will start promptly at 8:00am.

Afternoon tutoring will run from 4:45pm-5:45pm. Students will meet in the cafeteria immediately after school.

Tutoring in all core content areas (Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies) will be available. Teachers certified in ESE will also be there.

Please call us at 407-891-3200 with any questions.

Permission slips for the 1st Quarter 8th Grade Reward Activity were handed out in ELA classes on Tuesday, November 4th. In order to qualify for the Movie Field Trip, students needed to have:
  • No D’s or F’s on the 1st quarter report card
  • No referrals
  • No more than 2 unexcused absences
  • No overdue library books
If the only reason a student did not receive a slip is an overdue book, Ms. Ford has the permission slip in the Media Center. Return your book directly to her and ask for your slip ASAP.

If you think your student qualified but did not receive a slip, please have your student see Mrs. Devlin upstairs in room 1-210.

Payment must be made on MySchoolBucks AND the physical permission slip must be returned to your student's ELA teacher by Monday, November 17.
